Ms.Pooja is one of the beneficiaries of the ‘Bhojraj Scholars’ scholarship program initiated by the Seth Bhojraj Hassomal Charitable Trust. She stood first in merit list of first year GNM exam held in July 2019 by Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and Paramedical Education, among 8000 students studying the course in 266 Institutions. She was born and bought up in a lower middle-class family of six members in Mumbai at Mira road. Her father is a laborer and works in a shoe Company (M/S Chandan export). His monthly income is a meagre Rs. 6000 per month. They are staying in the slum area of Penkar Pada at Mira road in a rental accommodation (10” x 10 “size). Her mother is a housewife. Ms. Pooja was inspired to choose the Nursing profession by her elder sister Ms. Laxmi Gautam, who has also completed her GNM course from the School of Nursing Bhakti Vedanta Hospital. Since childhood she is a very hardworking and sincere student.
She has expressed her gratitude to Seth Bhojraj Hassomal Charitable Trust for the scholarship provided which is mainly instrumental in perusing her education and promised to try her best to maintain the same academic record in the future as well.
